Department of Interior Contract Award
Re:discovery Software, Inc. of Charlottesville, Virginia, is very pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of the Interior has awarded a new contract to the company. Re:discovery will provide the DOI’s next generation, centralized, cloud-based Museum Collection Management System. We will build on the success of our 20-year relationship with Interior and its federal public lands bureaus. Their museum & archive professionals use Re:discovery Proficio to help them curate, preserve, and share the historical and archaeological artifacts and the natural history specimens they manage in the public trust. We’re thrilled that DOI continues to place their trust in us!
When you stop in the visitor’s center at your favorite national park, historic site, or wildlife refuge, the artifacts you see on display are managed using Re:discovery Proficio. With this new contract, you’ll also see more of these national treasures displayed online, where they will serve to educate, inform, and inspire people anywhere in the world!
This contract is further proof that our commercial Proficio Cloud solution is leading the way for heritage institutions of all shapes and sizes, from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, to the Mary Baker Eddy Library. We’re also looking forward to building more FISMA compliant solutions with our partners at Microsoft, utilizing the Azure and Azure Government Cloud, and with our FedRAMP assessment partners at Coalfire.
